Terminal client

Install, authenticate and use the Redgold terminal conversation client alongside RAC tools.

redgold is the terminal interface to Redgold conversations and managed agent workspaces. The same account's sessions are available through the website. The terminal client's agent tools, approvals and transcript follow the assigned workspace's permissions.

Install and authenticate

Follow Install the terminal client and agent tools. The public bootstrap uses an account API key in REDGOLD_API_KEY, verifies the release, and installs redgold, rac and rci into ~/.redgold/bin. Installation does not provision a managed agent slot or model entitlement.

Run the configured client interactively or send one headless task:

redgold
redgold run --prompt "run the tests"

redgold --help describes the installed release's options. The public installer selects the public API; use --api <origin> or REDGOLD_API for an explicitly configured alternative. Model access follows the account and selected workspace; see the installation recipe for BYOK setup and access requirements.

Tools for your existing agent

rac provides search, browsers, memory, data, builds and managed fleet commands. rci implements its CI and publication families. Read the RAC command guide for those workflows and their access needs.

The setup prompt installs tools and skills for an existing agent while keeping its model provider. The hosted MCP server provides API discovery and calls without a local binary. Administrative commands require the corresponding managed environment and permissions.
